Unbelievable Ubud…

Not For SaleSo, I’ve been in Bali about six weeks now…it’s going VERY FAST!  The first four weeks  in Ubud with Christine were fantastic, we both loved it and had a lot of fun, ate amazing food, drank amazing healthy drinks, had amazing massages and did some amazing shopping – what more could a girl want!

Ubud can get pretty overwhelming at times.  It is the health retreat, yoga central capital of Bali and if you can’t find a healer to help you, yoga class to stretch you, raw, vegan, or other healthy food to nourish you, then you’re not in Ubud – it has EVERYTHING and more!

Neither of us were confident to ride a motorbike/scooter around Ubud so we hired bicycles.  It was hard work biking home as it was mostly uphill but it was fantastic exercise and by the time we got home, sweaty and disgusting, we just hopped next door for a dip in the pool 🙂

We befriended some wonderful locals – taxi drivers, local café/warung  owners, and of course, fellow travellers and seekers.

I won’t go into blow by blow accounts of how we spent our four weeks, as most of the time we just decided on the day what we were going to do, or if we had appointments for a massage or healing session, we worked around that.

Let’s just say, we explored, relaxed, indulged and just had a damn good girlie time!

So, now that I know all the good places to eat, shop and indulge, I would LOVE TO SHARE this experience with others.  I’m planning on bringing a group of women back here next year to do the same…so, if you’re interested, please register your interest so I can keep you informed of details as I work things out…

In the meantime, I will leave you with images of my first four weeks…sharing special times with my dear friend Christine…
