At the agPaula Johnsone of 29 I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure (Early Menopause) and 20+ years down the track I am still filled with wonder at the twists and turns that my life has taken as a result of that diagnosis.

It hasn’t been an easy journey, there has been a lot of heartache and struggle along the way, but it’s all part of the process and one I have definitely learned and grown from, and continue to grow…

I developed a very strong interest in natural health and well being and along the way became trained in holistic bodywork (Massage and Bowen Therapy).  I found I loved helping people go from pain and stress to ease and peace, which also led me to create and run women’s weekend meditation and chill-out retreats which were hugely fun and rewarding.

I have a passion for travel, photography, scrap booking and admiring other people’s creative works. I have started to write a book about my journey from early menopause… and this website is part of my journey, a way for me to share my experiences, along with useful information on health and well being and inspiring stories from others who have faced incredible life challenges and found a way out the other side.

In May 2011 I gave up life as I had known it for 30 odd years.  You know the one, good job, nice place to live, regular, regimented, paying the bills, getting by…and together with a friend journeyed to Bali to do some volunteer teaching at a Yayasan (which is a not for profit school where children go to learn extra lessons in English, Computer, Sex Education, Environment etc.)

I had no previous skills as a “teacher” and had done nothing like this ever before. Needless to say those six months changed me (and my outlook on life) in indescribable ways.  My heart was opened and filled beyond my wildest dreams, thanks to a very special little boy named Yogi.  You can read all about it on my Bali blog and the continuing story under Follow Your Dreams.

I hope you find inspiration within these pages – thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with me. Wishing you strength, courage, wisdom and fulfilment…

Dont try to blend in when you were born to stand out
